MY 18TH SAN DIEGO COMIC CON
I’ve been going to San Diego Comic Con since 2007. Taking out the 2020-2021 pandemic years, that’s 18 Comic Cons. Back then, you could get a badge, book a hotel, and walk the convention all on a whim. It was so casual. I was a fan of so many things. I got to spend four days geeking out.
Fast forward a few years. My fandom morphed into wanting to write comics. I started hitting the exhibit hall floor to knock on doors, meet people, and learn how to be a writer. I still geeked out, but I had new goals for the show.
Fast forward to 2026. My Comic Con experience has evolved into four days of panels, signings, meetings, reunions, and the occasional party. It’s part of my work as a full-time writer. Still, I try to protect time in my schedule to be a geek and walk the exhibit hall, see some panels, and soak it all in like I did in 2007.
This year, to celebrate the sprawling new Canto era, we’re bringing the little knight to San Diego Comic Con! Come to the Dark Horse Booth 2615 for an exclusive new Canto print and a copy of the Ashcan Preview of The Clockwork Chronicles #1.
