MAY 2: FREE COMIC BOOK DAY
Aka Comics Giveaway Day. Usually the first Saturday in May (this year: May 2), comic shops around the country give away free, brand new comics to everyone who stops by. Find your local comic shop here.
For the first time, I have a story in the free issue of Avatar: The Last Airbender from Dark Horse Comics (it’s paired up with a Minecraft story!). It’s a fun tale about Avatar Roku’s training in the Earth Kingdom that turns into a race to save Master Sud’s village. It’ll appear later in the Avatar Legends anthology. Whether you’re an avid or casual Avatar fan—or if this is your first foray—you’ll, ahem, dig this story.
I’ll be signing copies of Avatar and all my other work at Golden Apple Comics in Los Angeles from 11-4 pm. I’ll draw some Canto and Slimer and Malady for you. I’ll also have an extremely limited variant of Malloch the Damned #1 from a wildly popular cover artist (see more below!).
